2010-2011Reflections
This has been an awsome year. I have been blessed with a great class. They had a great amount of academic issues, but great personalities. I have grown close to each and every child and dread telling them goodbye. Anticipating next year is always a little nerve racking!! I don't even know where I will be next year thanks to the governmental issues. I can only pray that I will be back in pre-k. I'm looking at the bright side and if I get moved to kindergarten, maybe I can loop my fabulous class!! Pray for all of us pre-k teachers this summer. Our state needs pre-k in order for these children to succeed!!!

I love your "thinking on the bright side." That is a great idea....
ReplyDeleteI too have had a fabulous class. This has been one of my best groups yet. They were so ready and willing to learn which made my job a lot easier and more enjoyable. I feel like I have been able to do some different things this year with my kids because I didn't have many behavior issues. A supportive bunch of parents + a fun loving class = a year to remember.

ReplyDeleteIt is truly uncertain times in North Carolina. It is my sincere pray and hope that we will not step backward in educating the children of our county. I know what an awesome job you and the other teachers have done over the years. It has made such a difference for us in kindergarten and we are very grateful.
Keep thinking positively - maybe funding will come through somehow and Pre-K will be saved. I agree with you - Pre-K provides a wonderful foundation for children. I know that I am grateful that my own two children attended Pre-K and learned so much. It truly made a difference in their education.
ReplyDeleteIf you do get "promoted" to Kindergarten, then maybe you'll get to teach some of the same children - that's cool!
I totally agree with you! Children need PreK in order to be successful! It will do nothing but make our jobs that much harder if you guys aren't around. I'm praying for y'all!
